당초 올 연초에 판매 예정이던 4800 Yonge 프로젝트가 잠정 연기되었다는 소식을 전합니다. 워낙 위치가 좋아서 많은 분들이 기다리고 계실텐데, 안타깝지만, 아마도 좀 더 기다려야 겠습니다. 새로운 소식을 듣는대로 다시 업데이트 하겠습니다.

2019년 12월 1일 업데이트:

많은 분들이 기다리고 계시는 4800 Yonge 콘도가 드디어 구매 가능해지겠습니다. 개발사인 Menkes는 내년초에 판매를 시작하겠다고 밝혔습니다. 주거용 콘도 뿐아니라 상가와 오피스로 구성될 49층짜리 주상복합으로 지어질 이 콘도는 워낙 좋은 위치라 많은 구매자들이 손꼽아 기다리고 있는 주요 프로젝트입니다. 영라인 및 쉐퍼드 라인 두 전철의 역이 자리한 영과 쉐퍼트 사거리 남서 코너에 현재 주차장으로 쓰고 있는 부지에 지어질 것입니다.

외관이 완성이 되었습니다.

2018년 4월 3일 업데이트:

안녕하세요. 오늘은 공사현장을 다녀왔습니다. 바로 화이트하우스 콘도가 몇달전에 공사를 시작해서 사진과 비디오를 찍었습니다. 겨울에 시작했는데, 이제 꽤 많이 파내려 갔습니다. 기초 공사는 가장 중요한 공사이며, 따라서 가장 오래 소요되는 공사입니다. 제가 전공한 토목 엔지니어링 분야입니다. ㅎㅎㅎ.

실은 원래 분양하면서 발표했던 공정 보다는 약 1년이나 늦게 시작했습니다. 그래서 완공 예정이었던 2019년 봄 보다는 최소 약 1년은 연기되리라 봅니다. 꿈에 그리던 보금자리로 이사가는 기대에 부풀어 계실텐데 안타깝게도 꼭 이렇게 연기가 되곤 합니다.

공사장 진입로이며, 멀리 이미 지어진 민토의 30 Roe 콘도가 보이고 그 오른쪽으로는 완공을 향해 달리고 있는 eCondos 두 빌딩이 보입니다.

한편, 이 프로젝트는 정부의 외국인 15% 취득세 추가 법안과 렌트법 강화 조치등이 발표되었던 작년 4월 이전까지 고공행진을 이어가던 부동산 호황이 일던 초기에 sold out 되었었습니다. 그리고 그 4월 이후, 지금까지도 콘도의 가격은 강세이므로, 사실 이 콘도를 구매하신 분들은 매우 좋은 딜을 하신 것은 분명합니다. 축하드립니다.

이 화이트하우스는 제가 사실은 처음부터 상당히 마음에 들었던 프로젝트입니다. 미국 대통령이 사는 집을 연상 시키는 이름도 마음에 들고, 흰색과 빨강, 초록이 어우러진 색깔과 외관이 좋습니다. 완공되었을 때의 모습이 상당히 기대되는 콘도입니다. 그리고 서향에 한해서는 상당히 오랫동안 뷰가 보장되지 않을까 생각합니다.

Bayview와 Leslie사이 Sheppard Ave상에 Bessarion전철역이 있습니다.
