@ South of Angus Glen golf Club in Markham
Angus Glen Golf Course, which is considered as one of the best golf courses in Canada, is a well-known golf course for sure. It is a 36-hole golf course with the North Course and the South Course, Angus Glen Golf Course is a prestigious golf course that held Canadian Open twice in 2002 and 2007. It is not a private (membership system) but a public golf course, making it more special. For reference, the Canadian Open was held in the South Course in 2002 and the North Course in 2007.
The land used to be York Downs Golf Club located in between Warden Ave and Markham Rd on 16th Ave in Markham
The new large housing complex we are introducing today is located just south of Angus Glen Golf Course. This site used to be a very popular private golf course. The 27-hole high end private golf course, York Downs Golf Club, which covers 400 acres, was sold over seven years ago to a consortium of four developers, including Kylemore Communities and Angus Glen Development, for $412 million. This developer, Kylemore has been developing this area including the development around Angus Glen Golf Course for over last 20 years. There was a saying that Angus Glen Golf Course would be developed as a residential complex, but York Downs goes first for now.
I prefer to see though Angus Glen Golf Course remain as it is, as a beautiful public golf course for us to enjoy, as a gem among pack of houses in the city.
Kylemore has developed this area for the last 20 years.
We do not know whether Angus Glen will remain and as a public golf course, popular and excellent golf facility, and will provide great rounds and memories for local avid golfers, or if it will be partially or fully developed as well. Even if only part of it is developed, it is expected to provide a wonderful semi-permanent scenery unique to the golf course and increase the real estate value. Gordon Stollery, the late owner of Angus Glen Golf Course, who passed away in an accident on vacation 10 years ago, also ran a construction company, which is also participating in this project as a consortium. The value of the lot of the yolk he left behind is still rising. Would you like to occupy a part of this area and increase your wealth?

It is close to Hwy 404 and 407 and close to Markville Shopping Centre. There are many nice schools nearby.
